Library is lovely and light, however, the librarian on the second floor is the loudest person on the planet. I'm not sure how she missed the "be Quiet!" class in library school, but she seems to have missed it by a few miles.
Among the staff of this library are some of the nicest people in the town of Mount Kisco. For years they have helped me access enriching reading material without which I would live in intellectual poverty. It is a blessing a boundless resource like this is freely available to the good citizens of this village.
Fantastic library. Great selection of new books! Really nice variety of programs. I took my niece to the summer reading opener with the animals. She also loves Read to Rover on Thursdays. I've been to the monthly art exhibits, worth checking out. I just learned that they have a knitting club, so I can not wait to attend, I was actually going to their site to look into it, when this option to review popped up! Such a great community and the librarians here are all really nice and helpful. I come here because of that instead the to the library near my home. I feel like there is more thought and effort involved into making it a community fun place, instead of just a place to check out books. You can't keep a book, as I read in another review, because their 2 day reminder email makes it impossible! I've never had that before, and it's saved a few cents
My experience at the Mount Kisco Public Library has been one of my favorites. Not only is it a great place for teens to get their 20 Community Hours done for school, but the staff is also very nice and genuinely happy. They show a great care in helping people, not just with finding books or checking out, but creating relationships with just about everyone. I highly recommend the Mount Kisco Public Library to anyone, especially young adolescent who are looking for a place to study and volunteer. Really nice library and most of the staff is nice, but was treated disrespectfully by the Head Reference librarian and Business Manager. They both were obnoxious and unprofessional to me when I was inquiring about the library. I certainly would not hire them at my library.
